- Patient Assessment & Care:
Assessing, observing, and recording patient conditions. This includes monitoring vitals like pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, and taking blood samples. - Treatment Administration:
Administering medications, injections, and blood transfusions, as well as managing IVs. - Clinical Procedures:
Dressing wounds, assisting with medical procedures/surgeries, and preparing patients for operation. - Care Planning & Coordination:
Creating, implementing, and updating patient care plans. - Communication & Advocacy:
Acting as a patient advocate, communicating with doctors, and providing support to families. - Education:
Educating patients and their families regarding health conditions, medication, and recovery. - Documentation:
Maintaining accurate, confidential patient records and charting. - Safety & Compliance:
Adhering to infection control protocols and health and safety guidelines.
