Clinical Team Lead - North & West Oxfordshire AMHT

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) / Occupational Therapist (OT) experienced in working in mental health, seeking a new challenge?

We are looking for someone with previous Band 7 experience to take on a clinical and operational leadership role in a friendly, supportive and dedicated service.

If so,an opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and dynamicClinical Team Lead to join the North & West Oxfordshire Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) in Witney.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and ambitious individual with experience in mental health community to continue developing your managerial and leadership skills whilst continuing to undertake varied and more complex clinical work.

This is a senior role within a newly-established, multidisciplinary team that consists of both highly experienced and newly qualified professionals, all committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in our local community.

The post holder will be required to work at the base Monday - Friday 9-5pm

Main duties of the job

As Clinical Team Lead for the North & West AMHT(Witney), you will work alongside the Deputy Team Managers to support the Consultant Psychiatrists (Clinical Lead)andTeam Manager (Operational Lead),to provide clinical and leadership support to the wider team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a clinical expert taking a lead role in advancing the development of clinical practice, providing evidence based holistic patient care within a variety of settings, inclusive of the patient's residence and care settings within the community, from undertaking highly complex assessment of presenting condition through to diagnosis, treatment, and discharge, including the administration of medication within agreed clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Manage a small number of patients
  • Providingday-to-day management and clinical supervision to staff and supporting the ongoing development and performance managementof the team

A lead role in the day-to-day management of the AMHT Duty, Triage and assessment functions, working as part of a MDT to ensure timely triage, assessment, planning and implementation of intervention specific to the needs of individual or groups of patients and their carers

  • Undertakingclinical duties, including duty shifts, conducting assessments, risk assessing.
  • Liaison with other services and stakeholders as required
  • Acting asDuty Manageron a rota that does include weekends and out of hours working
  • Deputising for theTeam Manager as required
