Our business is mainly food & grocery, and we source & process most of the fresh food we sell through our own manufacturing facilities. We’re recruiting a high performing Trading Manager to help our business continue to grow and succeed.

Ensuring our stores are fully stocked is key to a fantastic customer experience, which is why this role is vital to our success. As Trading Manager, you provide the best availability and standards for customers across all departments.

• Lead the team to the very best standard and strive to ensure the best shopping experience for every customer who walks into our store.
• Plan and organise current promotions or in-store events.
• Listen, respond and act upon customer feedback.
• Ensure market‑leading availability across the store.
• Collaborate with other managers to lead a supportive and performance‑driven department.
• Efficiently manage all people routines, taking accountability for department scheduling, absences, performance and talent conversations.
• Deliver training to enable the team to perform with capability and confidence.
• Motivate and lead colleagues to work confidently across various departments.
• Identify and develop talent within the department.
• Build effective relationships with other operating departments.
• Lead colleagues to work with purpose, delivering outstanding performance against all relevant targets.
• Take a leadership role within the store.
• Ensure resources are planned thoroughly.

• Experience managing a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills; able to share knowledge, experience and best practices.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across all areas, remaining flexible.
• Adaptable to change and able to challenge effectively.
• Active listening skills, responding effectively to customers and colleagues.
