As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME), you will lead engineering projects from RFQ phase to launch. AME will support Sales Teams in understanding the technical aspects of projects and providing engineering feedback to help in quoting projects. AME will also develop and lead launch activities, along with the program management team. Other duties include attending technical reviews with customers and providing engineering guidance and solutions to operation teams.
PrimaryAccountabilities and Responsibilities
- Support Sales Teams in reviewing technical data from customers and providing engineering feedback to help with project quotation phases.
- Provide engineering estimates and formulate operational plans, such as equipment and tooling lists, and manufacturing plans.
- Develop launch plans and manufacturing setups. Creation of manufacturing documents such as SWI and process flows.
- Demonstrate and train technicians on the assembly processes, equipment operations, and troubleshooting.
- Lead technical projects and manage resources to meet customers’ deliverables in a timely manner.
- Adaptable to multiple roles and responsibilities across projects.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor's or technical degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, and/or 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing/operational environments.
- Experience with technologies such as sonic welding, automatic assembly, pneumatic systems, end‑of‑line testing.
- Working knowledge of robotics, vision system setup and tuning.
- Experience with 3D printing techniques, CNC laser or Gerber cutter preferred.
- Experience in developing and creating operational documentation, such as standard work instructions (SWI), process flow, FMEAs and control plans.
- Additional experience in lean principles, AI technology a plus.
- Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment errors.
- Effective communication skills, good attention to details, and self‑motivation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CAD software.
- Strong team player working with cross‑functional teams and highly adaptable to different roles.
