Talos are looking for PLC Programmers for a direct hire opportunity in Wixom.

The PLC Programmers will be programming, debugging, and starting up systems primarily on automotive projects throughout North America. This position will require up to 70-80% travel at points in the year, depending on project demand.

• Work closely with mechanical engineering, controls engineering, and skilled trades teams throughout all phases of automation projects
• Develop and implement PLC logic during system build and debug at customer sites
• Apply updates and enhancements to control logic based on customer change requests and process improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and verify I/O functionality, confirm safety and interference zones, and maintain thorough documentation of all programming changes in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Conduct on-site end-user training and deliver effective, solutions-oriented technical support

• At least 3 years of experience in PLC programming and system commissioning.
• Experience working with Allen Bradley PLC. Siemens PLC is a bonus
• Strong capability in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and system diagrams.
• Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 programming languages.
• Troubleshooting skills for PLC systems and related electrical/mechanical issues.
• Knowledge of servo motors, stepper motors, and AC drive systems.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency preferred.
• Multilingual ability (Chinese, Spanish, or German) is highly advantageous.
