Contract through year-end (potential to extend based on upcoming projects)
Schedule:
Typically 6–7 days/week; must be available for 2nd shift and holiday work (including Christmas shutdown)
Travel:
Local contract; no per diem/travel expenses provided
Overview
Seeking a Controls Engineer with a strong Siemens PLC background to support machine build, integration, and commissioning. The role will start with shop debug in Wixom, MI, and follow the equipment to on-site installation and support in Romulus, MI.
Key Responsibilities Perform PLC programming, debugging, and line integration using Siemens platforms.
Configure and troubleshoot HMI / Panel View interfaces.
Provide active shop-floor and field support during machine install, runoffs, and commissioning.
Support operations on 2nd shift and work through critical year-end shutdown/holiday schedules.
Requirements Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs (specifically Siemens TIA Portal V15.1 and S7-1500 processors).Experience configuring and troubleshooting Panel View / HMIs.Automotive manufacturing background; GM Powertrain (SiFACS) standards experience is highly preferred.
Willingness and availability to work 6–7 days per week, 2nd shift, and over the upcoming holiday periods.
