- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Emullion®, OST®)
- Self‑motivated with the ability to produce high‑quality work under tight deadlines
- Ability to read construction plans and understand local building codes and regulations

Position SummaryA rapidly growing construction services company is seeking an experienced DFH Estimator to join a Pre‑Construction team in Woburn, MA. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing accurate, high‑quality estimates. The Estimator will support pre‑construction efforts for Doors, Frames, and Hardware projects, ensuring proposals and bids are comprehensive and precise.
Primary Responsibilities- Review all project documents, plans, and specifications
- Quantify all DFH products according to specifications, door schedules, and floor plans
- Build hardware sets within estimating software and request material pricing based on quantities
- Prepare detailed proposal letters including clarifications and qualifications to clearly define included and excluded scope
- Review proposals with Preconstruction Manager before submission and participate in internal and client scope review meetings
- Communicate with clients throughout the estimating process and follow up on submitted proposals
- Attend weekly schedule/status meetings with the Preconstruction team
- Participate in internal product and process training
- Engage in career advancement initiatives, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities within the market
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or related field (not required)
- Ability to learn new estimating software and tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self‑motivated with the ability to produce results under deadlines
- Willingness to learn local code and regulations relevant to DFH projects
