Your RoleAs our Carbon Scientist, you’ll work on the conversion of carbon waste sources for critical energy storage materials. This position will play a key role in the synthesis, conversion, and scale‑up of carbon materials for our batteries.
This is a hands‑on role, ideal for a scientist who enjoys out‑of‑the‑box thinking and problem solving.
This is not a managerial position. We’re seeking a team‑oriented contributor who values honesty, respect, and open communication.
Key Responsibilities- Research methods for converting waste materials into functional activated carbon.
- Spearhead the design, synthesis, conversion techniques, and optimization strategies for carbon‑based materials, aiming to tailor their physicochemical properties for HTC and activated carbon applications.
- Support scale‑up processes from lab to pilot to commercial scale.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in engineering and product development.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and ensure reproducibility of experiments.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience with carbon conversion technologies and material synthesis. Including; pre‑treatment strategies, carbonization & amp; activation pathways, pyrolysis, HTC, characterization & amp; analysis, and scaling processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Familiarity with battery and energy storage is a plus.
