The RMD team is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department. The MDS department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance.

This position is on site in Woburn, MA or Huntsville, AL

What You Will do:

You will be working as part of a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation. Some specific responsibilities:
* Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements

* Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions

* Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance

* Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers

* Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements You will be completing the above responsibilities in one or more capability areas including:
* Electronic Protection, signal processing, applied mathematics

* Hypersonic threat defense

* Tracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces

* Radar calibration, diagnostics, deployed site support

* Modeling and simulation of tactical software Qualifications You Must Have:
* Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.

* Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer:
* Experience with Battle Management command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems or signal processing techniques

* Experience with developing, documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools

* Ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues

* Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java or DOORS

* Analytic, technical and problem-solving skills

* Experience with MS Office Suite

* Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture

* Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance

* Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance

* Experience and interest in Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements, determination, development and implementation

* Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement

* Previous military service

* Ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs

* Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater
