We are currently seeking candidates for a Finance Transformation Consultant at a telecommunications co. in Woburn, MA, 01801. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a project-oriented environment required; experience working on Finance process improvements and Finance IT projects preferred.
This is a temporary role (6 months) and will pay between $85.00 to $87.00 per hour (W-2, based on relative work experience) within a 40-hour work week.
This role will manage Finance Transformation projects and processes from inception to implementation.
On-site 3 days per week (T/W/TH).
Job starts Nov. 17 th.
Responsibilities- Manage projects related to our Global Finance Transformation from inception to successful implementation (primarily data governance projects).
- Define project objectives, scope, and level of effort in alignment with our goals.
- Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to the team.
- Establish a work plan for each project phase and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Prepare and present status reports to working groups and Finance leadership.
- Monitor plan to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Track and identify response plans for risks and issues.
- Review project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources to various project phases.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a project-oriented environment required; experience working on Finance process improvements and Finance IT projects preferred.
- Proficiency in project management tools required; experience with Smartsheet a preferred.
- Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong process mapping and modeling skills.
- Certifications in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is preferred.
