Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Regional Director of Plant Operations to oversee plant operations across our skilled nursing facilities in the North Shore region of New England. This regional leadership role requires expertise in healthcare maintenance systems, facility compliance, and team supervision. The Director will ensure that all physical environments are safe, functional, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Director of Maintenance or similar role, with at least 2 years in a skilled nursing or healthcare environment
Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required
Proficient in TELMS PM Plus or similar preventive maintenance software
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Electrical and/or plumbing license-preferred
HVAC certification strongly preferred
Deep understanding of Life Safety Code (LSC) and CMS regulatory requirements
Demonstrated experience with employee supervision and departmental leadership
Familiarity with blueprints, safety codes, and building regulations
Ability to manage multiple facility locations and willing to travel regionally within the North Shore (MA/NH) area
Must hold current licenses and certifications in accordance with state and federal regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, and repair programs using TELMS PM Plus
Ensure compliance with Life Safety, CMS, OSHA, and local/state building codes
Supervise, train, and support maintenance staff across multiple facilities
Collaborate with facility leadership to prioritize maintenance needs and manage projects
Coordinate vendor contracts, supply ordering, and project budgets
Maintain accurate logs, inspections, and compliance documentation
Provide on-call support and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required
Conduct regular travel between assigned facilities in the region to ensure consistency and support
