PositionSummary
Reporting to the Production Manager, this individual has a keen understanding of working with chemicals where they will mix, dispense, and label batches according to specifications. If you like attention to detail and safety, this is a great role with visibility to the organization. Some of the day-to-day functions include weigh up, mix, dispensing, packaging, and labeling of compound materials. In this position, your shift will be from 2:15 PM-10:45 PM.
Responsibilities- Read work orders and Batch cards to determine production specifications and information.
- Precision Weigh Up of powders, solvents, liquids, gums, rubbers, paint, and other conductive chemicals.
- Sift, package, and label powders / to bring workflow to completion for other departments.
- Perform Mixing operation to batch card requirements.
- Dispense material into proper containers.
- Print, label, and package required product and complete basic packaging.
- Run extruder, and compression molding machines to create quality control samples for batch testing.
- Record production information using Day by Hour.
- Perform Quality checks as needed to maintain a clean and safe work area. Sustain Safety and 5S program.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- US Citizenship or Permanent US Resident Status required.
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of Manufacturing experience or batch making required.
- Must have knowledge of weights and be able to use a scale as well as math skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced department and be able to multi-task.
- Effective communication skills; written as well as verbal.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic English required.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule- Pay Range: $20.5/hr to $33.5/hr
