Position Summary
Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as injection molding, compression molding, mixing, milling, and extruding machines.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on injection molding, compression molding, mixing, milling, and extruding machines.

Repair auxiliary equipment such as mold heaters, ovens, loaders, spoolers, pumps, and parts conveyors by dismantling, cleaning, and replacing worn or defective parts and assemblies.

Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts.

Collaborate with Process/Automation Engineers and Technicians to develop new machines and improve processes.

Support continuous improvement initiatives through LEAN and HPT methodologies.

Research part availability and initiate purchase orders for repair parts as needed.

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment related to Injection Molding, Compression Molding, and Extruders.

Perform building maintenance as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Associate degree or equivalent from a technical school or 3-5 years related experience preferred.

Active Massachusetts Journeyman or Master electrician license preferred.

Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electrical systems, and PLC logic preferred.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
