Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Location: Woburn, MA (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (~5 months)
Pay Range: $35.50 – $37.24 per hour
Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Thursday - Saturday & every other Wednesday)
Working Hours: 36-48 hours per week
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility structures, equipment, and grounds. This includes performing basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role involves preventive maintenance, environmental monitoring, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform basic maintenance and repair on facility systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems.
- Respond to alarms and perform environmental rounds (temperature checks, filtration systems, scrubbers, etc.).
- Maintain accurate documentation, checklists, and reports for maintenance activities.
- Safely interface with building fire protection and energy management systems.
- Support emergency response procedures as required.
- Ensure all work areas remain safe, clean, and organized.
- Order and maintain inventory of critical supplies and consumables.
- Assist in waste management operations and wastewater treatment system oversight (training/certification provided if needed).
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Basic knowledge of trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Familiarity with energy management systems and building maintenance tools.
- Ability to read and execute maintenance procedures and blueprints.
- Strong attention to safety, communication, and teamwork.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Hazardous Material or HAZWOPER training (10/30/40‑hour).
- OSHA 10/30‑hour training.
- Massachusetts Wastewater License (Grade 1 or higher).
- Experience working safely around hazardous materials and chemicals.
