Position: Security Systems Technician
Location: 90% of travel is in the greater Boston area with some travel required to other parts of Massachusetts/New England
Job Description:
The Systems Technician is responsible for installation and service of video surveillance, card access, and alarm systems. The Systems Technician is responsible for the complete lifecycle of the installation including reviewing the scope of work and bill of materials, reviewing the job with the customer, performing the installation, and finalizing the installation. The System Technician is also responsible for servicing existing accounts.
Responsibilities:
Review of new installations with project manager to ensure proper equipment and material before ordering process beginsInstallation of new systems including installation of cable, conduit, and equipment. Programming new system components and training the client. This could be independently or with other team membersEffectively communicates with A2 Systems manager when closing out a new installation to ensure a smooth transition from installation to service including warranty tracking informationPerforms service calls and preventive maintenance callsParticipates in technical training classes (travel may be required)Meets or exceeds customer’s expectations, provides exemplary customer service, and is willing to “go above and beyond” with a “whatever it takes” attitudeParticipates in Continual Improvement Process by always looking for ways to improve efficiencyQualifications:
Massachusetts Class D low voltage license preferred or in process3+ years commercial security systems experienceStrong work ethic and desire to not be micromanagedTechnical knowledge of security systems components, design, and topology including access control, video surveillance, intercom, intrusion, alarm, and LAN/WAN.Proficient in computers, network infrastructure, and Microsoft Office productsExcellent follow-up and organizational skillsExcellent written and oral communications skillsValid driver license, and a satisfactory MVR ReportSuccessfully passing a pre-employment drug screening and CORI background checkBenefits:
