Truck Driver​/Craftsman

The City of Woburn, Department of Public Works seeks qualified candidates for the position of Truck Driver / Craftsman.

Under the direction of the Superintendent or their designee, operates pickup trucks, dump trucks, panel trucks, automobiles, sidewalk plows, sweepers and small tractors. Loads and unloads trucks; picks up and hauls materials; plows and sand sidewalks. Performs skilled manual work in the construction, operation and maintenance of water / sewer / drainage systems including work on water gates, drains, mains and connectors;

lays and connects water mains and service pipes; installs fire hydrants; operates water gates; installs and repairs catch basins and manholes; installs and repairs all sewer and drain pipe; turns on water for new service; inspects work of laborers and maintenance men to see that it conforms with specifications and blueprints; operates related motor equipment. May supervise a small crew of workers at a lower level such as laborers and maintenance men.

Must be available to plow snow during off duty hours. CDL REQUIRED.

Monday through Friday 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 P.M. and overtime as needed, must be available for snow operations
