Are you an experienced, organised and customer focused office administrator or receptionist? This busy office-based role will offer you the opportunity to manage our school reception and take on a range of key administration responsibilities as well as providing day-to-day support to pupils, parents and colleagues.
OverviewWe pride ourselves on the way in which we educate and support all our boys, and our Student & Visitor Services team is integral to our success. As the first point of contact for visitors and families, you will provide an exemplary reception service, greeting visitors, answering the phone and liaising with parents.
Responsibilities- Welcome and sign in visitors
- Manage telephone and email enquiries
- Support pupils throughout the school day and liaise effectively with parents and staff
- Take primary responsibility for attendance administration, ensuring that registers are completed in a timely manner and absences are followed up appropriately
- Provide first‑aid care to pupils (training given)
- Experienced receptionist, customer service professional or administrator with excellent interpersonal, communication, ICT and organisational skills
- Experience in an educational environment is an advantage but not essential
- Approachable, calm under pressure and committed to delivering outstanding service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors
The role is permanent, on a term‑time‑only basis including Inset Days plus two weeks during the school holidays, which totals 185 working days per year (the equivalent of 37 weeks per year). Hours are 7.30am to 4.30pm including a paid lunch break. You are also required to work two Saturday mornings per year for Prize Day and Open Morning.
Salary & BenefitsSalary: approx. £30,000 - £32,000 FTE (£27,507 - £29,340 actual). Holiday pay is included in the salary. We offer excellent training and CPD opportunities, a generous pension scheme and an inclusive and supportive workplace.
