Overview

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at New Monument Primary School, part of Bourne Education Trust.

New Monument School, located in Woking's vibrant Maybury community, is a one-form entry primary school for children aged 2-11. We work closely with Broadmere School, sharing a senior leadership team to ensure cohesive and high-quality education. Contract: Term time, Permanent

Salary: PS3 Actual Salary £17,830 (FTE £24,330)

Start Date: September 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Working as part of a team, under the direction of the responsible Teacher, support teaching provision, development and implementation of learning for pupils
  • Under the guidance of the responsible Teacher, facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations and promoting positive attitudes to learning
  • Prepare, plan and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil response and needs
Essential Requirements
  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
  • Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development
