The Opportunity

We are representing a specialist engineering consultancy delivering civil, MEICA and multidisciplinary design solutions for major water companies across the Thames region. They are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to support projects across clean water and wastewater, including network improvements, rising mains, pumping stations and treatment works.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on design involvement, practical problem solving and being part of a collaborative technical environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Developing civil designs for water and wastewater projects including site layouts, pipework, chambers, structures and general arrangements

• Supporting concept, outline and detailed design stages and contributing to coordinated multidisciplinary solutions

• Using survey data, ground investigation results and existing asset information to guide design decisions

• Preparing technical documentation including drawings, calculations, design notes and schedules

• Working closely with mechanical, electrical and process colleagues to ensure fully integrated designs

• Engaging with project managers, engineers and suppliers to ensure designs are practical, buildable and compliant

• Supporting design reviews and helping develop safe, efficient and high-quality design outputs

• Assisting with design-related technical queries during project delivery
