Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Location: West Byfleet

Founded in 1975, T &G Engineering in West Byfleet, Surrey is one of Europe’s foremost high precision subcontract machining companies serving and supporting worldwide customers in aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, medical, can tooling and special purpose machinery sectors.

The acquisition of Williams & Co Precision in Southampton in April 2023 has strengthen the T&G Engineering Group. Williams has been at the cutting edge of engineering since 1960, currently Williams manufacture precision machined components mainly for the Aerospace markets.

Douglas Precision Engineering in Hastings, Saint Leonards-on-Sea is a small precision Toolroom specializing in the manufacture of precision Tooling.

The 3-companies form the current T&G Engineering Holdings Group.

We are looking for a facilities maintenance engineer to join the T&G Engineering Group. The maintenance engineer will be responsible for carrying general maintenance on all 3-sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- * Carry out general repairs to the facilities.

* Ensuring that the facility adheres to all engineering compliance standards not putting employees at any risk.

* Carrying out minor repairs to machines where possible.

* Support the investigation of electrical and equipment-related issues.

* Contact sub-contractors, machine and electrical engineers when required.

* Work in line with health and safety ensuring compliance is adhered too at all times.

* Ensure good housekeeping, Service records and schedule service plans e.g. PAT testing, Fork lift, Air conditioning.

Requirements:

- * Proven hands-on maintenance experience.

* Being proactive, using your initiative and taking ownership of situations.

* Good electrical experience would be an advantage.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where general helpfulness and flexibility are essential attributes for this role.

* Full clean Driving Licence.

* Good communication skills are essential.

* Full time hours are 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm (1/2-hour lunch break) and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm (No lunch break).

* Overtime during the week and on Saturday’s are paid at time and a half.

* Holiday entitlement is currently 23 days per annum plus English public/bank holidays.
