Lead the Design. Drive Innovation. Shape the Future. We are seeking an experienced Lead / Principal Electronics Engineer to join a growing hardware engineering team working on the development of cutting‑edge electronic products. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys combining hands‑on electronic design with team leadership and strategic engineering decision‑making. You will play a key role in delivering innovative new products from concept through to production, leading electronic design activities, guiding technical direction, and helping develop engineering capability across the business.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Leading and developing the electronics engineering function, ensuring capability, capacity and processes support business objectives.
- Capturing and translating customer and stakeholder requirements into robust engineering solutions.
- Defining system architectures and making key technical decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
- Designing complex electronic systems including schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit development.
- Producing and maintaining specifications, verification plans and compliance documentation.
- Developing validation and production test strategies to ensure reliable, high-quality products.
- Managing design verification, integration, qualification and EMC testing activities.
- Supporting new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conducting root cause analysis and resolving complex design and production issues.
- Collaborating with customers, suppliers and cross‑functional engineering teams.
- Managing external engineering partners and subcontractors. Researching and implementing emerging technologies to improve product performance and reduce costs.
Experience:
- 10+ years' experience in electronics design and development.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams or delivering business‑critical projects.
- Strong experience designing complex electronic systems integrated with mechanical and software elements.
- BLDC motor drive circuits

- Analogue signal conditioning

- Video signal processing
- Sensor interfaces (optical, magnetic, temperature)
- £60,000 - £70,000 salary
