Overview We are seeking an experienced Aramco-approved Welding Engineer to join our team and support major oil & gas and energy projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving welding documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and Saudi Aramco requirements.
Key Responsibilities Review, validate, and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).Assess and approve Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) and welding qualifications.
Review Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTRs) and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Verify welding documentation in accordance with project requirements, client specifications, and industry codes.
Ensure all welding activities comply with Saudi Aramco standards, ASME, API, AWS, and other relevant international codes.
Provide technical guidance and support on welding processes, materials, and inspection requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, quality, and construction teams to resolve welding-related issues.
Support audits, inspections, and client reviews as required.
Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements Saudi Aramco approved/certified Welding Engineer status is essential.
Degree qualified in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Welding Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience working on EPC projects within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy sectors.
Strong knowledge of welding procedures, qualifications, fabrication, and quality control processes.
Detailed understanding of applicable industry codes and standards including ASME, API, AWS, and Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards.
Experience reviewing and approving WPS, PQR, and welder qualification documentation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary project teams.
5 days in the Woking office
Preferred Experience Previous experience on Saudi Aramco projects.
Experience supporting major brownfield or greenfield oil & gas developments.
Familiarity with quality management systems and welding inspection practices.
