Are you an experienced Technical Accountant or Financial Reporting professional looking for a high-impact role in a dynamic, multi-entity environment? This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role within a successful international organisation, supporting a forward‑thinking Finance Director and leading the transformation of the finance function.
In This Key Leadership Position, You Will- Support the Finance Director across all internal and external financial accounting and reporting requirements, performing first‑stage review to ensure accuracy, integrity and timeliness.
- Lead consolidated reporting to shareholders and external stakeholders, including banks, pension providers and credit insurers.
- Oversee preparation of UK statutory accounts and European statutory reporting.
- Own consolidated balance sheet and cashflow forecasting and analysis.
- Manage the external audit process and act as the primary liaison for auditors, resolving technical accounting matters.
- Lead on ESG and sustainability reporting.
- Manage and develop a Financial Accounting & Reporting team of three, and oversee finance systems.
- Play a key role in transforming the finance function, driving improved processes, controls and systems.
- Support ERP implementation and internal governance reporting.
- Act as the organisation’s technical accounting expert, ensuring compliance with IFRS / UK GAAP and strong internal controls.
- Partner closely with business units and senior leadership to support decision making and enhance financial performance.
We’re looking for a confident and collaborative leader who brings :
- ACA (or equivalent) qualified with 5+ years PQE
- Strong technical accounting expertise, with deep knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Proven experience managing audits and working with external auditors
- Ability to drive improvements, manage complexity and implement change
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience developing high‑performing teams
- Strong communicator who influences and partners effectively across the business
- Resilient, proactive and solutions‑focused mindset
