Send, Surrey – 2 days office / 2 days home – Permanent – Supportive, close-knit finance team
Are you an experienced accounts assistant looking for part-time work? Do you enjoy a hands-on role across bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT?

We’re hiring for a growing marketing services business that partners with leading UK charities. As part of a small, friendly finance team, you’ll play a key role in keeping the day-to-day running smoothly – from payroll and supplier invoices to VAT returns and reconciliations. It’s a part-time, 4-day-a-week role with great flexibility and a strong team culture.

WISH LIST
  • 3+ years' experience in bookkeeping and payroll
  • Confident using Xero and Excel
  • Organised, detail-driven and a clear communicator
THE ROLE
  • Review, approve, and export weekly employee expenses into accounting software
  • Record and reconcile daily bank transactions
  • Process 4-weekly payroll across multiple companies, including RTI, pension uploads, and BACs payments
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
  • Manage supplier invoice processing, approvals, and payments
  • Post period-end journals including accruals, prepayments, and payroll entries
  • Assist in preparing 4-weekly management accounts
  • Support the finance team with period-end close and reporting
  • Provide general support across the wider business as needed
YOUR PROFILE
  • Part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero
  • Knowledge of Bright Pay and Pleo is a bonus
SALARY & BENEFITS
  • 28 hours per week (Mon–Thurs or split Mon–Fri)
  • Hybrid: 2 days in Send, 2 days from home
  • 36 days holiday (pro-rata) including bank holidays
