Location: Old Woking

Reporting to the UK Finance Manager, the Management Accountant plays a key role within the Finance team, responsible for delivering complete, accurate and timely management and financial accounting information to support monthly, quarterly and year‑end reporting to the business and parent company. This role is ideal for a bright, enthusiastic part‑qualified accountant working towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA, and offers a generous study support package.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the end‑to‑end accounting process for reporting various elements of the P&L, including (but not limited to) electricity, fleet, rates, premises and media revenue.
  • Take full ownership of the Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) model, including all associated accounting entries and postings.
  • Ensure all assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations are fully understood, prepared, and reviewed each period, with any outstanding or queried items resolved in a timely manner.
  • Act as the SME for the balance sheet reconciliation process and related controls.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant UK and German GAAP requirements, and that all internal controls and processes are appropriately documented, centrally stored, and consistently executed.
  • Partner with finance colleagues and key business stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial results.
  • Prepare monthly journals and maintain clear, supporting working files.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A and Commercial Finance teams to enhance reporting, improve visibility, and support the analysis and explanation of forecast variances.
  • Provide month‑on‑month and year‑on‑year variance analysis for P&L and balance sheet movements.
  • Ensure appropriate processes are in place, fully documented, and continuously reviewed for effectiveness.
  • Support the preparation of Landlord Revenue Share Statements and other landlord reporting requirements.
  • Assist the Senior Management Accountant with ONS submissions as required.
  • Support the Finance Manager in identifying, developing and implementing process improvements, including bringing forward tasks to reduce the impact on period end.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Assist with interim, year‑end, group and statutory audits.
Qualifications
  • Part‑qualified and currently studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Control‑focused approach, with the ability to understand business processes, identify risks and implement improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated, showing initiative in delivering responsibilities and driving outcomes.
  • Proven capability to redesign and improve processes, leveraging technology where appropriate.
  • Strong systems and ERP experience, alongside advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, changing environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
