Are you a personal tax professional looking to join a respected and growing accountancy practice where you'll be trusted with your own client portfolio and given the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise?
We're looking for a Personal Tax Adviser to join a highly regarded practice in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid UK practice experience and multiple tax seasons under their belt who enjoys working closely with clients and delivering high-quality personal tax advice and compliance support.
Working as part of a specialist tax team, you'll manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, building strong relationships while ensuring their affairs are handled accurately, efficiently and proactively.
What you'll be doing:- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
- Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns
- Handling a range of personal tax matters including property income, capital gains and residency issues
- Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Managing personal tax compliance deadlines and ensuring timely submissions
- Supporting clients with tax planning opportunities and day-to-day tax queries
- Building trusted client relationships and delivering an exceptional client experience
- Working closely with senior colleagues on more complex personal tax matters
We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates currently working as a Personal Tax Adviser, Personal Tax Senior, Tax Associate, Tax Consultant or Private Client Tax professional within a UK accountancy practice.
What we're looking for:- At least two completed tax seasons
- Strong personal tax and Self Assessment experience
- Experience managing personal tax compliance for a portfolio of clients
- Experience dealing directly with clients and HMRC
- Exposure to capital gains tax, property income and wider private client tax matters
- ATT qualified, ATT studying or equivalent experience would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Salary of £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
- Exposure to a varied and interesting client portfolio
