The Role
The main purpose of this role is to work with the Talent Team to attract and recruit talented colleagues to join the company, in an ethical, effective and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Search or headhunt potential candidates, screen CVs and conduct telephone screening interviews for full, part‑time, permanent, seasonal and ad‑hoc roles.
- Submit shortlisted candidates to hiring managers with accurate notes in Page Up to assist hiring decisions.
- Build relationships and liaise with hiring managers to understand position requirements and improve sourcing.
- Maintain a candidate database for back‑filling roles where required.
- Use existing recruitment templates to keep candidates advised of their progress.
- Create and publish internal and external advertisements upon recruitment authorisation.
- Ensure up‑to‑date job descriptions are sent to short‑listed candidates ahead of interviews.
- Organise candidate interviews when applicable.
- Act as an ambassador of the company, ensuring all candidates are treated ethically, fairly and consistently.
- Compile and publish the weekly recruitment bulletin.
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of the Page Up ATS.
- Help the People Coordinator with Page Up queries and provide system support to colleagues and managers.
- Assist with the production of relevant monthly and ad‑hoc reports.
- Maintain data integrity within Page Up.
- Support the People Team as required.
- Identify opportunities to streamline or enhance administrative processes and provide solutions.
- Keep abreast of updates to company policies and employment law changes to ensure compliance.
- Follow company policies and procedures, maintaining awareness at all times.
- Comply with health & safety regulations.
- Take responsibility for personal development and complete mandatory training on time.
- Adhere to GDPR policies.
- Good attention to detail.
- Build rapport with candidates and hiring managers/clients.
- Plan, organise and follow‑through tasks to completion.
- Work independently and in a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability and multitasking with effective time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- GSCE in English and Mathematics.
- Previous talent resourcing role.
- Knowledge of job posting sites and professional social media platforms such as Linked In.
- A degree in Human Resources or business with a desire to move into HR.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems such as Page Up.
