Material Expeditor
Summary
We’re looking for a Material Expeditor to join an oil and gas project team on a contract basis, based on-site at our Woking branch. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and experience in expediting materials for large engineering projects. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring timely delivery and accurate tracking of all components critical to project success.

Client Overview
Our client operates within the oil and gas sector, delivering complex engineering solutions with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and project efficiency.
Responsibilities
Track and monitor the status of materials and equipment required for the project.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Verify material specifications against purchase orders and project requirements.
Manage documentation for shipments, deliveries, and any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update tracking systems as required.
Escalate potential delays or issues to relevant stakeholders and propose solutions.
Support procurement teams with follow-up to ensure contractual commitments are met.
Must-have Requirements
Proven experience in material expediting, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
Strong communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
Ability to review and verify specifications and supplier documentation.
Proficiency in using tracking and reporting tools for materials management.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Nice-to-have Skills
Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems.
Knowledge of international shipping processes and documentation.
Awareness of health and safety standards in industrial environments.
