Purchasing Administrator
£30,000 - £35,000 Monday - Friday Flexible Working Hours On-Site
We're looking for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join a growing manufacturing business. If you have at least 1 year's purchasing experience within manufacturing and understand the fundamentals of procurement and supply chain processes, this could be the perfect opportunity to develop your career.
This Purchasing Administrator role is heavily focused on operational purchasing, ERP transactions and supplier administration, with genuine progression opportunities into a Buyer or Senior Buyer position.
The Purchasing Administrator role:- Raise and manage purchase orders using the ERP system.
- Support Buyers with order placement, supplier follow-up and order acknowledgements.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, pricing and supplier records.
- Process routine purchasing requirements and resolve purchase order queries.
- Manage supplier documentation, contracts and compliance records.
- Support supplier onboarding and maintain supplier master data.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, documentation and outstanding orders.
- Maintain procurement reports, trackers and purchasing data.
- Support indirect purchasing including office supplies, PPE, facilities and consumables.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Stores and Finance teams.
- Previous experience as a Purchasing Administrator or within a purchasing/procurement administration role.
- At least 1 year's purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using an ERP/MRP system.
- Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal departments.
- An ambition to progress your career within purchasing is highly desirable.
- £30,000 - £35,000 salary
