Senior Logistics Coordinator and Team Leader

Senior Logistics Coordinator & Team Leader Our client is a specialist import and export provider based just outside Haywards Heath. They currently seek a Senior Logistics Coordinator and Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day running of the logistics department. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Lead, motivate and develop a small logistics team, ensuring workloads are effectively managed and deadlines are met. Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring shipments, documentation and customer requirements are handled efficiently and accurately. Manage your own portfolio of customer and supplier accounts while supporting colleagues with their own accounts. Monitor operational workflows and implement improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy and productivity.

Liaise with internal departments and key stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of client requirements. Allocate responsibilities across the team, providing coaching and support where required. The successful candidate will have previous experience in logistics, operations or international trade, with a strong understanding of sea freight. You will be commercially minded and possess a good working knowledge of Incoterms and international payment terms.

Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing a team is essential. Equally important is a positive, can-do attitude, together with excellent communication and organisational skills. In return a salary of 32k-36k is provided (depending upon experience). Due to the company's location and limited public transport links, applicants will need access to their own transport.
