Caretaker
- Annual Salary: £27,155 - £29,604
- Location:
Leatherhead - Job Type: Full-time (36 hours per week on a 3-week rolling shift pattern)
Join this outstanding School as a Caretaker with DT Technician Responsibilities, where their vision and aims focus on excellence, leadership, and opportunity. This role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for the entire school community and providing technical support in the Design Technology department.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Ensure the school site is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming by performing general maintenance and cleaning duties.
- Provide technical and practical support to the Design Technology department, including preparing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining workshop facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintain records to comply with statutory requirements.
- Participate in the security of the school by managing access, monitoring premises, and responding to emergencies.
- Support the school's cultural and community life by contributing to events and activities.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- Good general education and a clean UK driving licence.
- Experience in site maintenance or a building services role with skills in carpentry, painting, and basic electrical and plumbing tasks.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools and preparing materials for DT projects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Desirable:
Experience in an educational setting and familiarity with CAD/CAM packages.
