Quality Inspector

Location: West Byfleet

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established precision engineering business based in West Byfleet. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-quality manufacturing environment, ideally suited to someone with experience inspecting small, high-precision components.

The Role

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring components meet exacting standards before progressing through production and into final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspection of small precision components

* Use of manual inspection equipment including:

* Shadow graph

* Verniers & calipers

* Micrometers

* Running and operating CMM machines

* Carrying out First Off inspections

* Completing inspection reports and quality documentation

* Supporting production with quality-related queries

* Working to tight tolerances and industry standards

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering environment

* Strong understanding of dimensional inspection

* Experience working with CMMs

* Confident with First Offs

* Background in CNC machining and/or aerospace manufacturing is highly desirable

* Good attention to detail and ability to work independently

Desirable (but not essential)

* Experience with FAIRs

* Knowledge of PPAPs

* Aerospace quality standards experience

What’s on Offer

* Salary between £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
