WorkingHours
Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern (9‑week rotation).
- Day Shift: 07:00 – 15:30
- Early Shift: 06:00 – 14:30
- Late Shift: 13:30 – 22:00
There is also an on‑call requirement (1 in 9 rotation).
Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join a high‑performing engineering services team within a technologically advanced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of production equipment, ensuring operational reliability across the facility. The position involves both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance, supporting continuous production and driving equipment improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Performing repair, improvement and planned maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective troubleshooting on manufacturing systems
- Maintaining and repairing automated and PLC‑controlled machinery
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives for plant and equipment
- Supervising subcontractor activities when required
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
- Accurately logging maintenance activities and documentation
- Time‑served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding experience on PLC‑controlled equipment
- Experience maintaining automated manufacturing or production equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical systems such as pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics and vacuum systems
- Experience with electromechanical systems, PLCs and PC‑controlled equipment
- Proven background working in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing or production environments
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to equipment improvement
