URGENT HIRING - AGSE PRODUCT TECHNICIAN (Woking)
We are urgently recruiting a hands-on AGSE Product Technician for a workshop-based engineering role in the Woking area. This is a specialist Ground Support Equipment (GSE) position focused on the assembly, servicing, and testing of gas pressure systems used in aircraft tyre inflation equipment
.
Although classified under GSE, this role is highly practical and involves working directly with gas cylinders, pressure vessels, valves, and pipework assemblies used in aviation support systems.

Salary & Hours£28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Monday to Friday
07:30 - 16:30 (day shift, no rotating shifts)
Overtime may be available depending on workload
The AGSE Product Technician will be responsible for the inspection, assembly, servicing, testing, and maintenance of aircraft ground support pressure equipment
. This includes ensuring all systems are built and maintained to strict safety, quality, and performance standards, supporting reliable operation of aircraft tyre pressure systems.
- Assemble, service, and refurbish gas pressure units and AGSE equipment
- Work with gas cylinders, pressure vessels, valves, and pipework systems
- Perform fault diagnosis across mechanical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic systems
- Carry out functional testing, inspection, and safety checks on completed units
- Complete calibration and certification activities where required
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and build instructions
- Carry out basic pipework bending and assembly (hand-bent pipework involved)
- Maintain accurate technical records, test results, and service documentation
- Ensure all work complies with strict health, safety, and quality procedures
- Support product improvement, troubleshooting, and workshop efficiency
- Background in mechanical assembly, maintenance, or engineering workshop environments
- Experience with pipework, fittings, valves, or pressure systems
- Ability to use hand tools and workshop equipment confidently
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read technical drawings or willingness to learn quickly
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible, reliable, and eager to develop new technical skills
- Experience with gas systems, pressure equipment, or pneumatic assemblies
- Previous exposure to calibration or test environments
- Background in aerospace, manufacturing, automotive, or industrial engineering
- Hands-on and practical approach to engineering tasks
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Willingness to learn and develop within a specialist technical role
- Team-oriented with a professional attitude
