We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Production Planner to join a successful manufacturing operation in Herefordshire. You'll play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently, customer requirements are met, and manufacturing resources are used to their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems and continually looking for ways to improve planning and production processes.

As Production Planner, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating production, and balancing customer demand with available machinery, tooling, materials and personnel. Working closely with the internal teams, you'll ensure the right products are manufactured at the right time, while keeping lead times, inventory and waste to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements and deadlines Plan manufacturing capacity and optimise the use of available resources Monitor inventory and coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are available when required Work closely with production and customer service teams to maintain excellent service levels Identify potential production delays and proactively implement solutions Continuously improve planning processes, systems and production efficiency Maintain accurate planning information using ERP/APS systems and Excel What We're Looking For Proven experience in production planning and scheduling Experience using APS, ERP or MRP planning systems & MS Excel Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines A proactive approach with a genuine desire to improve processes

Experience with advanced planning and scheduling systems would be highly advantageous, as would knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement. What's on Offer?
