I am working with a forward-thinking property consultancy specialising in delivering high-quality services across residential, commercial, and mixed-use portfolios. The team is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated Service Charge Consultant to play a key role in shaping exceptional client and occupier experiences.

The Role

As a Service Charge Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and guiding clients through all aspects of service charge budgeting, administration, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of property management finances who enjoys working with detail, communicating clearly, and solving problems proactively.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare annual service charge budgets with accuracy and clarity

* Produce year-end service charge accounts and liaise with external accountants

* Lead on service charge reviews, queries, and disputes

* Work closely with Property Managers and Surveyors to ensure compliance and cost efficiency

* Assist with procurement, contractor tenders, and cost-saving initiatives

* Support clients with financial planning and long-term maintenance strategies

* Ensure all service charge processes align with industry standards (RICS/ARMA)

* Maintain transparent communication with clients, leaseholders, and internal teams

About You:

* Experience in service charge management (residential, commercial, or mixed-use)

* Strong numerical and analytical skills

* Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex financial detail

* Proactive, organised, and confident managing multiple deadlines

* Knowledge of property legislation and best practice (RICS, Landlord & Tenant Act)

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
