Part Time Accountant

Are you an experienced Accountant looking for a part-time role within practice? We are seeking a Part Time Accountant to work for a friendly, accountancy practice based in Wokingham. The ideal candidate with be qualified ACCA/ACA with extensive accounts experience gained within a UK accountancy firm.

This is essentially a Client Manager role, and the firm is looking for someone to commit to around 15 - 20 hours per week with hybrid working offered after the probation period.

This role offers a good rate of pay, and flexibility where you can expand your experience and thrive. Hours can be flexible to suit, although it is preferred to be predominantly within normal working hours.

As Part Time Accountant within this well-established practice, your responsibilities will include:

* Managing a portfolio of 40-50 clients comprising small business and sole traders

* Provide ongoing support and advice to clients and advising as appropriate

* Statutory accounts preparation and review

* Preparing personal and corporation tax returns

* Prepare and submit VAT returns

* Bookkeeping and reconciliations

* Ad hoc duties to support the smooth running of the team

To be considered for this Part Time Accountant position, you will satisfy the following:

* Be ACA or ACCA qualified, although, an exceptional part qualified or qualified by experience accountant may be considered

* Have significant accounts and tax experience within a UK accountancy firm

* Experience of independently managing a portfolio of clients

* Able to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines

* Have excellent communication skills

* Be flexible in your approach, self-motivated and diligent

* Experience of a range of accountancy packages such as Sage, Xero, IRIS, CCH, Tax Calc, Free Agent and Excel would be beneficial

* Whilst this role will offer an element of hybrid working after probation, applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Wokingham
