Reed are supporting a local highly successful regional practice to recruit a motivated and ambitious Trainee Accountant to join their growing financial reporting and outsourcing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or individual looking to begin a professional career in accounting.
No previous accounting experience is required. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in finance and accounting, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Full training and support will be provided, including study support towards a professional accounting qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of accounts for a range of clients
- Supporting the completion of bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Assisting with tax compliance work for individuals and businesses
- Processing financial information and maintaining accurate client records
- Reconciling bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and documentation when required
- Supporting senior team members with day-to-day accounting assignments
- Learning accounting software and developing technical accounting knowledge
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
About You
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related subject would be highly advantageous or someone with strong Alevels who has started their AAT.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good written and verbal communication abilities
- Eager to learn and develop a career within accountancy
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach to work
