School Business Support Officer Lancaster | Secondary PRU | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity Looking for a varied school-based role where no two days are the same? Reed Education are recruiting for a School Business Support Officer to join a welcoming and dedicated secondary PRU in Lancaster. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity , offering the chance to become a valued member of the school's support team.

The setting supports young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs , so we're looking for someone who is confident, resilient, highly organised and comfortable working in a busy environment.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, ideally 8:00am - 3:00pm (some flexibility available) Start:
Handover required during the week before October half term DBS:
Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one)

The Role As the School Business Support Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for visitors, parents and external agencies, playing a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the school. Working closely with the School Bursar and Senior Leadership Team, you'll ensure records are accurate, communication is handled professionally and administrative processes run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to enquiries Greeting and signing in visitors Maintaining accurate pupil and school records Supporting the School Bursar and Senior Leadership Team Managing administrative tasks and school correspondence Ensuring information is recorded and stored in line with safeguarding procedures Handling multiple priorities in a busy school environment We're Looking For Previous administration experience essential School administration experience highly desirable Experience using SIMS or other school management systems would be advantageous Excellent organisational and multitasking skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills A good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality Ability to learn new processes quickly Comfortable working in a setting with pupils who may display challenging behaviour Calm, professional and proactive approach Why Apply?
