Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Wokingham Start Date: April 2026 Salary: £20,000 - £26,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time (term-time)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and forward‑thinking school in Wokingham from April 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting pupil progress and confident in delivering high‑quality learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support learning across the curriculum and will take responsibility for delivering lessons and interventions, particularly in Maths and/or English
.

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
• Provide targeted support and interventions in Maths and/or English
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Assist with planning, assessment, and feedback in collaboration with teaching staff
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• 1-4 years' experience working in a school setting
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths and/or English
• Confident leading whole‑class learning and small group interventions
• Local to Wokingham
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting pupils and staff
