One-to-One Primary and Secondary Tutors Required - Hillingdon
We are currently recruiting dedicated one-to-one tutors, ideally qualified teachers, to deliver off-site educational support to primary and secondary-aged pupils across the Hillingdon area.
This role is ideal for teachers seeking an alternative to mainstream classroom teaching, offering flexible, part-time work while continuing to make a meaningful difference through personalised, one-to-one support.
About the Role
Flexible, part-time one-to-one tuition for primary and secondary-aged pupils
Teaching core subjects including English and Maths, with additional curriculum support where appropriate
Off-site provision delivered locally throughout Hillingdon
Start date:
ASAP
Flexible daily hours to fit around other commitments
Tutors will be supported by and report directly to the SENDCo
Student Needs & Focus
Tutors will support pupils across EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4, focusing on:
English and Maths progression
Phonics, reading, writing, numeracy and subject-specific skills (where relevant)
Confidence-building and engagement-led learning
Re-engagement support for pupils currently outside of mainstream education
Many pupils may have additional needs, including SEN and/or SEMH. We are therefore looking for tutors who are patient, adaptable and confident in building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status preferred, or significant tutoring experience with primary or secondary pupils
Ability to teach English and Maths at primary and/or secondary level
Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)
Access to a car and willingness to travel locally within Hillingdon
Experience supporting pupils with SEN and/or SEMH is desirable
