A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate SEMH Teacher to join a developing specialist SEN provision in Winnersh, Wokingham. This permanent SEMH Teacher position offers the chance to make a genuine impact on the lives of young learners aged 11 to 16 who require additional social, emotional and mental health support.

The SEMH Teacher will be working with pupils who primarily have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, with some children also presenting with additional needs such as ASD and ADHD. The successful SEMH Teacher will lead a dedicated support team of Teaching Assistants and deliver highly personalised learning in a nurturing and structured environment.

This role is closely connected with a growing specialist SEMH education network in the area, part of a wider initiative to expand high-quality specialist provision for young people with SEND. These provisions focus on creating safe, supportive environments where pupils can rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships and re-engage with learning. The ethos centres on compassion, respect, teamwork and helping every child rediscover their ability to thrive.

The SEMH Teacher will benefit from strong pastoral systems, collaborative staff support and opportunities for professional development within a specialist SEND setting.
