EOTAS / Alternative Provision Tutors Required - Wokingham

Wokingham & surrounding areas (Berkshire)

1:1 Tuition - Alternative Provision / EOTAS

We are currently seeking experienced and committed tutors to deliver 1:1 tuition for pupils accessing alternative provision or Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) across Wokingham and the wider Berkshire area.

This role supports learners who are currently outside of mainstream education, often due to additional needs such as autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical needs. The focus is on re-engaging pupils with learning, building confidence, and supporting their individual educational journey.

Tuition is typically delivered on a 1:1 basis within the pupil's home or in suitable community settings, with fully personalised sessions designed around each learner's needs.

Role
  • Provide 1:1 tuition for pupils in alternative provision / EOTAS
  • Deliver flexible, part-time hours (primarily during school hours)
  • Tailor sessions to individual learning needs and goals
  • Support pupils to rebuild confidence and engagement in education
  • Work across Wokingham and surrounding areas in Berkshire
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (e.g. autism, SEMH, or behavioural needs)
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, relationship-led approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to travel to in-person sessions across Wokingham and nearby areas

We are unable to support candidates who require Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applications requiring sponsorship will not be considered.

Benefits
  • Flexible, part-time working arrangements
  • Competitive pay rates, dependent on experience
  • A highly rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable learners
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference outside of mainstream education

If you are an experienced tutor looking for a flexible and impactful role within alternative provision, we would welcome your application.
