With regular referrals coming through from our client, we are actively expanding our team and have learners ready to start immediately.

About the Role

You will provide personalised, face-to-face tuition to primary and secondary‑aged pupils who require alternative educational provision.

Sessions will take place either:

  • In the pupil's home
  • Within a community setting such as a library or learning hub

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, tailored tuition sessions
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Supporting learners to develop confidence and independence
  • Adapting your teaching approach to meet individual learning needs
  • Monitoring progress and celebrating achievements, no matter how small
Who You'll Be Supporting

You will work with young people who have a range of additional needs, including:

  • SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
  • Anxiety and Mental Health needs
  • Behavioural challenges
  • Other complex learning needs
What We're Looking For
  • Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH
  • Patient, empathetic and resilient
  • Passionate about making a difference through education
  • Confident in delivering engaging 1:1 learning sessions
  • Able to build rapport with pupils who may have experienced challenges within mainstream education
  • Availability to deliver tuition across five days per week would be advantageous
