SEND & Alternative Provision Mentors / Tutors - Wokingham Area

Quantum Scholars are looking for caring and adaptable individuals to provide 1:1 SEND tuition and mentoring support to pupils across Wokingham and nearby areas
.

Many of the young people we support are currently outside of mainstream education and may experience challenges linked to SEND, SEMH, autism, trauma, behavioural needs, anxiety, medical needs, or school avoidance
.

This work can be genuinely life-changing for students who need consistent support and trusted adults around them.

Who We're Looking For

This opportunity could suit people with backgrounds in:

  • Teaching or teaching assistance
  • Youth work or behaviour support
  • SEND or pastoral support
  • Alternative provision or PRU settings
  • Coaching, mentoring, or therapeutic support

Most importantly, we are looking for people who can build strong relationships and remain calm, patient, and supportive.

About the Role
  • Provide 1:1 tuition and mentoring support to primary and secondary-aged pupils
  • Deliver support in homes, schools, community settings, or online
  • Help students both academically and emotionally
  • Flexible opportunities available across Wokingham and surrounding areas

There is immediate and ongoing demand for tutors, with regular referrals available throughout the academic year.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to travel locally within Wokingham
