AP/EOTAS English Tutor - Wokingham

Quantum Scholars are looking for a patient, supportive and experienced AP/EOTAS English Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one English tuition to a young person in Wokingham accessing alternative provision or EOTAS.
The successful tutor will have experience supporting learners who may have struggled to access mainstream education and will be confident adapting their teaching style, pace and resources to meet individual needs. The role will focus on helping the young person make academic progress while also rebuilding confidence, engagement and a positive attitude towards learning.
Experience working with SEND, SEMH, school avoidance, anxiety, disengagement or other barriers to education would be highly desirable.
This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work.
The role may involve:
- Providing personalised one-to-one English tuition to a young person accessing EOTAS or Alternative Provision.
- Supporting the learner with the secondary English curriculum and, where appropriate, GCSE preparation.
- Developing skills in reading, writing, comprehension, spelling, grammar and vocabulary.
