Service Engineer – Full Time (On-Site, Wokingham)

Sinar Technology is looking for a hands‑on, motivated Service Engineer to join our growing team in Wokingham. If you’re a problem‑solver, a strong communicator, and enjoy working with advanced technical instrumentation, this could be the role for you.

This position involves on‑site service work, supporting customers across the UK, and ensuring our equipment delivers the quality and reliability Sinar is known for.

This role reports directly to the Department Head.

What You’ll Do
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues on a range of instrumentation
  • Perform on‑site maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and diagnostics
  • Provide technical support and clear guidance to customers
  • Carry out field service visits across the UK
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and customer service teams
  • Manage your tasks and schedule efficiently to ensure timely service delivery
  • Report activities, issues, and customer insights directly to the Department Head
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience troubleshooting technical or instrumentation issues
  • Hands‑on field service or on‑site equipment support experience
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly
  • Background in maintenance and repair of instruments, devices, or related equipment
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
  • A strong team player with a hard‑working attitude
  • Target‑driven and motivated to deliver high‑quality service
  • (Bonus) Familiarity with instrumentation for food, agriculture, or similar industries
