Trainee Operative - Traffic Management

Overview

Volker Highways is a market leader in highways and street lighting term maintenance contracts. We deliver major surfacing and public realm infrastructure projects. Our specialist in-house traffic management division provides expert advice and support across the industry, assisting with our own contracts. We have a superb opportunity for a Trainee Operative to join our Traffic Management business, based out of our Wokingham Depot.

• Responsible for working with both direct labour and sub-contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines on time.
• Operate Traffic Lights and plant, where trained and certificated, with involvement in various other aspects of Traffic Management.

• Previous highways maintenance experience
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to use initiative
• NHSS 12D M1/2
• NHSS 12 A/B
