ICA Technician – Winnersh Triangle (with UK & Ireland travel) Permanent | Marln Group

Marln Group is a UK-based system integrator that specialises in industrial control system upgrades and telemetry systems, primarily serving the water industry in the UK and Ireland. We manage PLC, HMI, SCADA, RTU, and communications projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from design and commissioning to ongoing support.

This role combines hands‑on site work with office‑based technical tasks. You’ll be installing, configuring, and troubleshooting ICA and telemetry systems, as well as producing clear documentation and supporting successful project delivery. Regular travel to Ireland is part of the role.

• Install, configure and maintain RTUs, comms panels, and ICA equipment
• Investigate and remediate telemetry systems, including fault diagnosis
• Perform SCADA configuration changes and support commissioning
• Carry out site surveys and produce accurate asset reports
• Produce clear documentation and post‑remediation reports
• Prepare and follow safety documentation (RAMS)

• HNC/HND in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
• 5+ years’ experience in ICA systems (water industry preferred)
• Hands‑on experience with telemetry systems and PLCs
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial comms (Modbus, DNP3, IEC, Ethernet)
• Strong installation, testing and troubleshooting skills
• Full UK driving licence + right to work in the UK & Ireland

Desirable: WIMES knowledge, 18th Edition, ECS/JIB Gold Card, EUSR Water Hygiene, Thames Passport, and instrumentation experience.
