Service Centre Engineer
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for electronics and technology?
We're looking for a motivated a Service Centre Engineer to join a leading global organisation at the forefront of electronic measurement innovation.
You'll join a knowledgeable and friendly service centre team working with industry-leading electronic test and measurement equipment. Full training and mentoring are provided, with clear long-term development opportunities.
This role is offered as an initial 12-month contract, with strong potential for extension.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operate and maintain multiple test stations using PC-based software and electronic instrumentation
- Carry out manual measurements of electronic signals using oscilloscopes and other test & measurement instruments
- Learn industry-standard measurement and calibration techniques
- Troubleshoot and fault-find across a wide range of electronic devices
- Communicate with customers to provide service progress updates
- Work collaboratively within a team to meet service quality and turnaround targets
- Gain exposure to customer-facing field roles as your skills develop
What We're Looking For:
- 5 GCSEs (grades A-C) including Maths and English (Physics desirable)
- A-Level, BTEC, or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Engineering, or a related discipline (advantageous)
- Genuine enthusiasm for electronics, technology, and hands-on learning
- Any prior experience with soldering, testing, fault-finding, or lab work is a bonus
- A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel
